Many SMEs affected by the recession may be eligible for funding. OneDoor can assist businesses in the digital and creative industries to develop and grow across a range of higher-level skills. Programmes are flexible and can be designed to suit individual or employer’s needs. |
OneDoor can offer:
Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)Tailored IAG for highly skilled individuals affected by or facing redundancy. By appointment only, an interview with the OneDoor adviser can be arranged at the University or at one of the partner colleges. An action plan and follow-up telephone assistance will be provided. |
High-level Skills Programmes
For people who are unemployed or facing redundancy we can offer subsidised access to higher-level skills programmes provided by the OneDoor network, to support future employment. |

Management development
We can help you grow your business and develop your staff to the next level of management through tailored training. This will provide new skills and confidence to get the very best out of your staff and your business. We offer accredited, higher level management training and you could qualify for a 90% cost subsidy. |
Enterprise Development Training
For people who would like to know more about running a business and to explore their entrepreneurial potential, we provide a wide range of half-day seminars covering aspects of self-employment. The seminars can be delivered at the University or one of the partner colleges. |

Collaborative Innovation Partnerships
For companies who can demonstrate a need for ECIF support there may be the opportunity for them to benefit by involving a recent graduate in a 6-9 month project, with up to a £4k subsidy. |
Innovation supportWe offer consultancy support from experts to develop and exploit new products, services and processes and to improve business performance. These employer-led, small-scale research projects will also explore potential opportunities for future collaboration. |

Graduate placementsBusinesses can take advantage of a subsidised, 13-week internship and pay only a fraction of the employment cost. |
Bridging programme for apprenticesA bridging programme for process industry apprentices. A year-long programme will be delivered for up to 20 individuals who have completed apprenticeships to take them through to Foundation Degree level. |
